Subproject 3: Non-invasive characterization

Non-invasive characterization of the temporal and spatial heterogeneity of sarcomas

Subproject 3 aims to exploit the potential of non-invasive technologies for the detection and monitoring of ITH. Through the application of liquid biopsy technologies, we aim to achieve in-depth temporal resolution of ITH monitoring based on the integration of serially acquired methylome and transcriptome data from tumor-derived circulating nucleic acids with corresponding single-cell data generated in subproject 3. As a complementary approach, multimodal radiologic imaging will be performed and integrated with spatially resolved histologic and multimicrobial data in collaboration with subproject 4.
  1. Integration of single cell data from tumors with serially obtained liquid biopsies for longitudinal ITH analysis
  2. Improvement of radiologic ITH detection by multimodal metabolic and functional imaging
  3. Development of deep learning models for ITH prediction by integration of histologic and radiologic data
